Little Update to Master Bath

This is not really a finished product by any means but Amy and I have been excited about our cost savings in this room. We were quoted any where from $3,000 to $16,000 to redo the master bath. Part of that is due to how much needed fixing and how big the room is.

I started looking online to find ways to cut some corners. I found some great tiled tops with vessel sinks. Problem is that our vanity was so tall as it sits that Amy would need an elevator to wash her hands. We saw a few stainless drop in options online and liked the clean lines they brought to a bathroom. A few days later I visited a salvage store to see if they had any options. I took Amy back the next day and we decided on these 2 white drop in bowls for $3 each!! Yes $3. With tax the 2 were $6.56.

This excited us to cut even more corners. We found a tile we could live with at Home Depot for $1.16 a square foot. Bottom line we will pay somewhere around $500 for the whole project. It's not the absolute best but it will be a great, functional bathroom for years to come.

It still needs:
  • Grout (happens tomorrow)
  • Wall sconces
  • Framed mirrors
  • 1 GFI plug
  • Baseboard
  • Shower entry tile
  • Towel hooks
  • Blinds
  • Faux finish on vanity
  • New hardware for vanity
  • Touch up painting
